Here are some pictures from Labor Day North. Saturday we had 20-25 kt winds with 30 gusts, 3-4 ft seas. We hit 8.5 kt over ground when surfing the 4 ft waves.
Saturday night we met at Fairlee Creek... Fairlee on a major summer holiday? I call it "Lake Havasu East"... lots of power boats and loud music. Some changed their mind when they heard the forecast so it was just:
Sunday, we sailed and motored from Fairlee to Sassafras River. Integrity went back into Turner Creek, went soft aground but still ventured back to see that there wasn't enough room to raft, so we anchored seperately but close to each other in the Sassafras;too many waves from boat traffic to raft. There were four boats now:
On Monday, Bali Hai and Integrity sailed from the Sassafras to Bodkin Creek, one tack, holding 5.5 to 7.0 kts. Made it in 5 hours. Bali Hai and Integrity were side by side the entire 5 hours. Great sail. Rafted in Bodkin Creek.
On Tuesday, Bali Hai went back to Stoney Creek on very little wind. Integrity made it back to Annapolis, Back Creek on 4 tacks with south winds and held 5.5 to 7.0 kts speed.
Great weekend.
